Superior Awards: Nicholas Carroll (Stage Management) Jenna Jarema (Makeup Design) Liliana Griffin (Costume Design) Sammi Lyszak (Solo Dance) Jarred Norman (Solo Musical Theatre) Madeline Martin (Solo Musical Theatre) Mary Telly (Playwriting) Mason Modzelewski (Playwriting) Excellent Awards: Madison Roush (Monologues) Zachary Warren (Monologues) Delaney Wetherholt (Duet Acting) Emily Padyjasek (Duet Acting) Madison Roush (Group Acting) Hannah Walker (Group Acting) Matt Offner (Group Acting) Caleb Hardy (Set Design) Other Highlights: Mason Modzelewski presented the one act play he directed, “Check Please 2.” We were the only school in the state who presented a student directed play and the response was great!!!! Liliana Griffin, Madeline Martin, and Mary Telly led a workshop on how to be an outstanding Thespian troupe. Again, only students teaching a workshop! Seniors Nicholas Carroll (Stage Management), Madison Roush (Acting), Sammi Lyszak (Acting), Zachary Warren (Acting), and Audrey Jones (Acting) received over $396,500 in scholarship offers!!!!!!!!!! International Thespian Society
The International Thespian Society (ITS), an honorary group for high school theatre students, is a division of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA). The mission of ITS is to honor student excellence in the theatre arts. Thespian troupes are just a component of a school’s theatre program. ITS offers many valuable benefits, services, and opportunities to troupe directors and Thespians alike. Membership is lifetime and this honors society for theatre is recognized internationally.
